It is a very exciting month for Warwick Boat Club as Marcus is currently out in Australia preparing for the Australian Open. Marcus will be playing men’s doubles with Cam Norrie and they are playing in the main draw! This is such a fantastic achievement for Marcus and one that we are all very proud of!
Before Marcus jetted off, I was lucky to spend some time with him to ask him a number of questions about him and his tennis career. Thank you Marcus for your time!
Warwick Boat Club has once again proven its dominance on the tennis court, clinching victories in both the Ladies' and Men's Coventry leagues. This remarkable achievement marks a historic moment for the club, showcasing the depth of talent and commitment within its ranks. In the ladies team were five 16 years or younger girls.
Jenny Waggott and Jackie Robinson have stepped down from their (predominantly) ladies group coaching roles that began in 1983.
On Saturday (17 August) tennis members of Warwick Boat Club celebrated the opening of five newly surfaced artificial clay courts. Marcus Willis was on hand to present the tournament prizes, pictured here alongside tennis captain, Jon Browning
