Senior and Mixed events

Where apropriate these will be split into bands of crews with similar ranking index. The winners of each band will receive glass tankards.

Masters and Junior events

These will be run using standard age classifications.

Masters events will be combined where necessary and the appropriate handicap applied.
Masters without competition may be moved to an appropriate senior event. Please tell us if you don’t want to be moved.

Subject to entry J12, J13 and J14 events with 3 or more entries will be run as leagues with competitors racing at least twice. In order to give the youngest junior crews more racing all J12 events will be offered as open only.

Primary events

These events are intended for rowers/scullers that are new to the sport. They are open to competitors over the age of 18 that started rowing within the last 12 months. They are ideal for novices and recent graduates of Learn to Row courses. Participants must be registered members of British Rowing and may not enter an open event at the regatta. Events with 3 or more entries will be run as leagues with competitors racing at least twice.

Leagues

League racing is a well established part of Warwick Regatta and gives crews the opportunity to race at least twice in an event. Subject to entry J12, J13, J14 and Primary events with 3 or more entries will be run as leagues.

In small league events (up to 5 crews) each crew will race 2 others. The 2 crews with the most wins will then race each other in the final. In large league events (6 or more crews) the event will be divided into 2 groups and each crew will race 2 other crews in its group. The crew with the most number of wins in each division will race in the final.

Boats and Equipment

  • Competitors may enter one event per division
  • No doubling up of crews/coxes or equipment within a division
  • Competitors to provide their own boats, blades and equipment for all events
  • Coxwains to supply their own dead weights

Entries

£10.50 per seat. Entries close at 8pm on Thursday 8th August 2019.
All entries via BROE2. Please let us have as much information as possible on BROE including details of alternative events in case there is no competition for the one you have entered.
