Warwick Regatta 2018- Saturday 18th August

This year’s Warwick Regatta took place on Saturday 19th August 2017 and we welcomed competitors of all ages and abilities to the club. The Results for 2017 are now available.

  • Sprint racing over a 500m buoyed course
  • Events to run under the NEW Competition Framework

  • Presentation goblets for the top female sculler


Events on Offer

We have a full range of Senior, Junior, Masters, and Mixed events for 4+, 2x and 1x.

Senior and Mixed events
These will run under the new British Rowing Competition Framework with crews split into bands of similar ranking index. Where appropriate a crews status points may be used to assist with the banding. The winners of each band will recieve tankards.

Masters and Junior events
These will be run using standard age classifications.
Masters events will be combined where necessary and the apropriate handicap applied.

In order to give the youngest junior crews more racing all J12 events will be offered as open only.

Primary events
These events are designed for novice crews over the age of 18 that started rowing or sculling within the last 18 months and haven't yet won a qualifying event. They are ideal for novices and recent graduates of Learn to Row courses.

Primary events with 3 or more entries will be run as leagues with competitors racing at least twice.

Primary events are non-qualifying. Competitors need to be members of British Rowing (Platinum, Gold or Silver) and may not enter an open event at the regatta.

Leagues

League racing is a well established part of Warwick Regatta and gives crews the opportunity to race at least twice in an event. Subjectto entry J12, J13, J14 and Primary events with 3 or more entries will be run as leagues.

Boats and Equipment

Competitors to provide their own boats, blades and equipment for all events.
Coxwains to supply their own dead weights.

Entries

£10.50 per seat. £12 payment on the day.
Entries close at 8pm on Friday 11th August 2017.
All entries via BROE2

Please give details of alternative events in case there is no competition for the one that you have enterered.

Car parking

Myton Fields is a Pay and Display car park with attendants in operation all day. Drivers of towing vehicles will be issued with a free parking pass. Please collect this from Registration when you first arrive. All other vehicles will need to purchase a valid ticket, if you don't you are liable to get a parking ticket!
