WBC Club Safeguarding Procedures

Warwick Boat Club places Safeguarding at the highest priority. Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.

www.lta.org.uk/about-us/safeguarding/ is a new website for adults, children, young people, families, and professionals to keep everyone in Warwickshire safe and protected from harm of abuse and neglect.

The website provides clear and straightforward information to individuals who may be victims of abuse or neglect; their family, friends; and people who work with them. It also contains important information about current safeguarding issues, how to recognize the signs and where to report any concerns.

Please note the following additional information which forms part of WBC Safeguarding Standards

  1. WBC annually operate health and safety checks and risk assessments
  2. All relevant staff, coaches and volunteers are DBS checked.
  3. Just inside our main entrance in a dedicated Safeguarding notice board which promotes our two safeguarding officers along with additional safeguarding information and posters..
  4. Please also see our membership agreement which also promotes safeguarding and our members expectations regarding this area of high priority.
