Warwick Boat Club has an active squash section without about 150 members playing squash and racketball. We run monthly leagues for squash and racketball, annual team and individual competitions, and enter men’s and women’s teams in the Warwickshire Squash winter and summer leagues.
There are two squash courts next to the main pavilion. Courts are booked on-line before playing and cost £2 for weekday evenings after 5.50 p.m., and £1.50 at all other times.
Two squash courts are housed in a separate building next to the Clubhouse. Both the men’s and ladies’ changing rooms have exit doors leading to the courts which were built in the late 1960s.
The courts have always been well maintained and the facilities have been greatly improved over the years. A higher roof was installed in the late 1990s to provide not only more space (for lob strokes) but also to enable better lighting.
The Squash section is run by a committee that organises the monthly leagues and competitions as well as looking after the regular maintenance and cleaning of the court building and two squash courts.
