Welcome to the Tennis section. We cater for tennis players of all abilities and ages including international tournament play, national, regional, county, local leagues, open and closed tournaments and singles ladders. Of course we cater for the majority who want to attend and play social tennis with friends or other club members, doubles or singles. There are 11 superb artificial grass courts, ten of which are floodlit, so tennis can continue throughout the year.
Most of our members are from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Solihull, Banbury, Coventry and surrounding villages.
We have individual and group coaching available conducted by eight professional coaches, many leagues, junior camps and open and club tournaments throughout the year. Five times a week members have the opportunity to attend the club and play in organised mix-in tennis fours which is a great way to meet people. However, we have a minimum standard - if you feel you are borderline or unsure please contact the tennis manager Gavin Henderson on 07787 568642 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for a free assessment.
The mix-in sessions are:
Warwick Boat Club tennis section has some of the finest facilities in the country. The courts are situated alongside the River Avon and under Warwick Castle walls, so the view from the courts is outstanding.
The courts are state of the art artificial grass, which are half sand filled, so this assists drainage, allows play in wet or frosty conditions, and even in light snow. The surfaces are replaced regularly to ensure that they give the best performance for matches and social play, all the year round.
The quality of the tennis courts helps the club attract members not only from Warwick and Leamington but also as far afield as Coventry, Banbury, Stratford-upon-Avon and Solihull.
