Jackie Robinson joined Warwick Boat Club in 1983 and immediately started to play in the first team winning the Coventry league many times
.
She started the Ladies morning coaching in 1986 with 2 sessions on a Thursday with Anna Potts.  This developed into 2 sessions on a Wednesday with Jenny Waggott and then finally 3 sessions on Thursday and Wednesday and 2 on Friday. She has been involved in expanding the coaching structure of the WBC together with looking at safeguarding/diversity issues.


Jackie has been involved on the tennis Committee for over 15 years, secretary for past 4 years and representative for Team Tennis before that.  She has had a spell as Ladies Captain including when winning the European Championships, and is still captain of the over 70 Club team. Jackie was overall Captain of the English teams in the Home Internationals in 2010. She has also captained the Warks County teams from over 60/65/70 and has represented GB at over 55/60/65/70/and 75.

In addition Jackie is on the Club's General Committee, is involved in refereeing senior's matches, has worked with Warwickshire juniors and has run WBC charity tournaments for many years.

Men's First Team

The team achieved local district records, winning both the Winter and Summer Premier Division Titles, holding the records for the highest number of match wins in both seasons remaining unbeaten throughout all fixtures:

• Coventry & District Men's Summer League: Five consecutive Premier Division Champions winning 50/56 matches
• SWAS Men's Winter League: Premier Division Champions for a 2nd straight year finishing the season with a 'perfect' unbeaten record throughout the 7 months winning 48/48 matches. The year before was the clubs first time ever of claiming the Premier division title.

The team were crowned in both the winter and summer as Maiden Midlands Champions, reaching the National Finals of the Worldpay National Premier League and the LTA National League which are the highest level team competitions in Great Britain. They finished the highest out of all Warwickshire teams and were over the two competitions the best performing outdoor club in the UK.

• Worldpay National Premier League: National Final Semi-Finalists - Finished Top 4 in UK
• LTA Summer National League: National Final - Finished Top 6 in UK
