WBC Junior Rowing Squad - we are recruiting!

***WBC Junior Rowing Section is recruiting***

Warwick Boat Club junior rowing section is looking to recruit fresh athletes from September 2026 and to provide opportunities for 12 prospective junior members to try the sport. As a prerequisite to joining the section, the club is running a training camp in late August with participation in this camp decided by ballot should it be over-subscribed. Following the training camp, 6 of the 12 participants will be offered the opportunity to join the section on a permanent basis. Once again, this opportunity will be offered following a simple ballot rather than by a selection process.

Sign up is by ballot using the link below. Please note, the closing date for submitting the application form (end of the Sunday 12th July 2026) as any received after that date will miss the ballot and go on the waiting list.

All sessions will be organised and run by qualified coaches and supported by a number of volunteers from the club.

End-of-summer Training Camp:

Dates:
Fri 21st Aug 9-12am
Sat 22nd Aug 4-7pm
Sun 23rd Aug 4-7pm
Cost for the three sessions:
£120
Age groups:
Starting school years 9-12 only

Regular Junior Sessions:
Regular sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4.15-6pm, and most Sundays 2-4pm subject to coaches' availability.

Costs:
Club Membership: £158 per year as of April 2026
Fee per term: £40 (this is to cover junior session running costs)
British Rowing Membership: £42 per year (this will include insurance and access to online material)
