Warwick Boat Club has an active Squash section with over 100 members playing squash and racketball. We run a monthly squash league, a racketball ladder, annual team and individual competitions and enter teams into the Warwickshire Squash winter and summer leagues.
There are two squash courts situated alongside the main pavilion. Courts are booked with a sticker on the reservation sheet before playing and cost £1 for weekday evenings after 5.50 p.m. and 50p at all other times.
The main focus of the section revolves around the Monthly League which is open to all players of all abilities. The League is composed of a number of divisions, each with five players. Players play each other once during the month so there is a commitment to play an average of one league game a week. Promotion and relegation takes place at the end of each month. Matches are best of five sets, traditional (no handicapping) scoring. Full details of the scoring and league rules are displayed on the notice board.
The annual end-of-season open and handicap competitions are held in the spring, and the annual team handicap competition is held in the autumn.
Visitors’ fees are £3 a visit, with a maximum of three visits per subscription year.
