Here is what president Ray McGuire said

The member this year that we would like to award the Centenary Plate to has shown enormous enthusiasm for her sport. Her enthusiasm has been very infectious to all around her whatever their age or standard.
She joined Warwick Boat Club in April 2014. She transferred from Stratford Tennis Club bringing with her a few friends. Her dedication to her tennis very quickly became apparent and she immediately got involved with team tennis working her way up to the 1st team. She represented WBC in the premier divisions and played for Warwickshire O60s county team. For the last 5 years she has held the position of Ladies Tennis Captain organising and encouraging the many ladies team captains as well as finding time to play herself. Her emphasis has always been on inclusivity, playing with any standard and encouraging the many talented youngsters.
This summer she stepped down from her busy voluntary role and shortly after suffered a heart attack on court. After successful medical treatment and several weeks of `doing as she was told` she is now back on court mixing in and played her first county match quite recently, which she won.

The winner is Marianne McLeod
