The Tuesday afternoon WBC Bridge Group restarted in January 2024 and has been growing in popularity ranging now from four to six tables of four players each week. Some knowledge of the game is needed but we have a mix of fairly new, rusty and regular players. We are also ably-assisted by local bridge tutor Jane Baker giving weekly hands and bidding practice for those that would like it, while the more experienced players are on freestyle tables. Plus the café is open till 3pm!
If the demand is there, the plan is to keep the bridge sessions continuing throughout the year. And members are welcome to invite non-members to attend a session by paying the £6.00 guest fee, and thereafter taking out the WBC social membership to play on a regular basis.
