Originally from Cardiff, Di spent most of her working life in Lancaster. After retiring as a headteacher in 2010 she took up Crown Green bowls so, on moving to Warwick in 2014, she joined Warwick Boat Club in order to try her hand at the Flat Green discipline through the academy. She soon began playing in friendly matches, galas and club competitions and began taking part in league fixtures in her second season. She attends many bowls section social events and experienced her first Club Tour last year.
A mother of four and grandmother to three, much of her spare time is spent in London with family. However, She also volunteers at Hill Close Gardens and as well as bowling, enjoy gardening, Tai Chi and the Arts.
