The last head race on the schedule was Abingdon Head of the River on Sunday 12 April. Both men's and women's squads had strong representation here, including a few wins.

The race held on the river Thames is 2K long, which was useful to the squads as a transition from long head races into the short regatta sprints.

Wins included Masters A coxed four (Phil Tonkin, Tom Grinstead, Andy Collett and Chris Bailey, coxed by Alison Tonkin), who beat their opponents also from Warwick.

Women's IM3 eight had a storming performance, coming fastest women's sweep boat of the day.

Final win was for Women's IM3 coxed four, in a strong field of around 10 crews in their category.
