Money raised will go to Rufus' Friends' Fund, a registered charity (number 1006484), was founded in 1989 when Rufus Hedderwick, who had severe learning difficulties, died. The object of the Fund is to provide day-activities, breaks and holidays for families, local to Warwickshire, that have a member with learning disabilities.

Often these families live stressful lives, coping with illness, emotional problems, single parenthood, behavioural difficulties and loneliness. A short break away does not remove a family’s problems, but gives them an enjoyable experience, respite and a chance to recharge their batteries.
